Job Description:
As a Manager in the International SEM team, you will work to increase the growth of one of our most successful operating groups. This role involves leading the strategy and execution of SEM campaigns in markets around the world. The SEM Manager is responsible for helping to identify and drive opportunities that produce revenue growth while, at the same time, meeting specific performance objectives and maximizing margin. We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented web analytics guru with a passion for the numbers side of marketing. You should be comfortable working with large data sets and maneuvering through the wonderful world of Google Ads. The ideal candidate for this role is a quantitative problem-solver that makes sense out of chaos and infuses insight into the team. Success comes through the ability to adapt easily, learn quickly, and deliver meaningful contributions right away.
Responsibilities:
Provide reporting and in-depth quantitative analyses that helps the company improve performance and to hit monthly and quarterly targets. Provide analysis and modeling on engine and keyword expansion and setting volume expectations
Partner with our US and International team, to develop, run and grow successful and profitable search engine marketing traffic acquisition
Maximize our conversion optimization strategy and the effectiveness of A/B landing page testing to improve performance across all of our International platforms
Manage an international team of SEM analysts
Develop and expand campaigns and ad groups by setting up testing plans for performance improvements
Effectively assess progress and opportunities for growth
Requirements:
Japanese Language proficiency
Significant Google Ads experience
Advanced proficiency in Excel
Minimum 8+ years of SEM experience including campaign development with a lead generation focus. This includes experience with working with data sets that include +1,000,000 keywords a strong plus
Consumer internet/software company experience preferred
Strong results-orientation combined with excellent judgment and problem-solving skills
Ability to learn quickly, to organize, and to deliver in a fast-paced, changing environment
Foreign language skills a huge plus (especially Spanish, Japanese or German)
Experience leading and mentoring a team of SEM analysts a big plus
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
